FAQ

------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which operating systems and browsers will this work on?

A: The accelerator will work on any connection type on any operating system in conjunction with a latest generation browser. Any web browser version after the year 2000 should support accelerated web browsing. If you are using Internet Explorer under version 5 or Netscape version 4 and under, please contact our technical support to receive a CD with an updated browser.

Q: Will this work on dialup or DSL?

A: The accelerator service works on both dialup and DSL. DSL customers may not notice much of an increase in web browsing speed, as DSL transmission speeds already provide for near-instantaneous transmission of web pages.

Q: Is accelerated dialup a viable alternative to DSL?

A: We deployed accelerated dialup technology to increase speed for customers who appreciate speedy web browsing but are not heavy Internet users. DSL is still the best option for customers who want fast all around Internet access, as the accelerator technology only speeds up web browsing.

Q: What information are you taking from me as I browse the Internet with this product?

A: We are not storing any information about your web browsing in conjunction with any personally identifiable information. For the purposes of caching, your usage may be tracked and analyzed by automated means, though your personal information will not be connected with browsing habits in any way.

Q: How does it work?

A: By compressing the computer “code” that makes up a webpage, we are able to send this compressed code to web browsers that are capable of decompressing compressed web content (see first question). In addition, large images that are parts of web pages are analyzed and optimized for size and quality. Both of these methods save on the amount of data that needs to be transmi
